Here are some of the sketches I did when I was coming up with the outfits for my character line up

 



Winter Wonderland Line up

My final character design assignment was to take all the characters I created for the class this term and put them in a line up with a theme.  I chose to do a winter wonderland theme and this is how it turned out.  I had a lot of fun doing this and I enjoyed going back and drawing the characters from the earlier assignments.

Here are a few life drawing assignments I've done.  They are all skeletal studies.  I still need to do the full body skeletal so I may post that too when its done.

Been missing my cousin(and best friend) who is away at school this year.  I get to see her again in 10 days and I just really miss her so I just had to draw this.

 



Flare

This is a  quick sketch I did today of my character Flare.  I drew her in a bit of a different style then I usually do so she looks really different.  I'm going too keep playing around with the style and try to find something that I think really fits her.  But I did have quite a bit of fun doing this. 

 



Gigi

This is Gigi my Giraffe character.  We had to design a 4 legged character for character design class and later on in the school year we will be animating them, so I'm really excited for that.

 



Lucas the Otter Alpaca

This is Lucas, he's a ferocious looking Otter-Alpaca creature mix but he's really just a big softie. 

 

 



Character Lifeline Drawing Jam

I did this up for the Drawing Jam blog.  This is Super Kitty, one of my very first characters.  This isn't just a progression of her life but a progression of how I would draw her as I grew.

Freedom

For my animation history class I had to do an illustration in the style of Winsor McCay.  I had a really hard time figuring out what to draw but I decided to do a drawing that I would draw but in his art style.  Anyway this is the result.  I worked very hard on it and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. 

Falling Leaf Animation

This animation is for my light object drop assignment.  Animations always seem to be a little bit lagging when I post them here as gifs.  If it stays that way I may just upload them to youtube and link them here so they will have their full effect. 

 



Anthro Duo!

These two are yet another character design assignment.  We had to make an anthropomorphic duo of characters.  I had a lot of fun with this project.  The characters are Denver and Frank/Frankie.  Denver is a frilled neck lizard and Frankie is an iguana.  I seriously love frilled neck lizards, they're so funny.

 



Daily Sketches October 30th 2013

These are a couple of quick sketches I did for my storyboarding class. We have to do a little storyboard about what motivates us so I drew myself and my boyfriend to use in my storyboards. 

Midtone sketchbook

So today I finally started drawing in my midtone sketchbook. Its a sketchbook with grey paper so you can draw on it with shades and highlights. I decided to play around with my markers and I redrew the layout I made for my falling leaf animation (coming soon). 

Life drawinggg

So today I am very satisfied with my life drawing work so I decided to post some here. Plus I'm mixing it up and putting different things on my blog.  I was mostly doing leg drawings for my assignment then at the very end I did a full body figure drawing. 

Cannonball Drop Animations

 

Third assignment for my animation timing techniques class.  We had to make a cannonball drop on to a soft surface, a hard surface, and a box or other object.

 

 

 



Xander Character Sheet

 

So this is my villain character for my hero and villain assignment.  His name is Xander.  I had some trouble figuring out how to draw him at first but as I drew him more I had more and more fun with it.

OH MY GOODNESS. A blog update! I haven't done one of these for a week.  So sorry, school work has picked up and I now have much less leisure time for drawing fun stuff in my sketchbook to post.  From now on I will probably mostly be posting school work and not much else.  Anyway, this is my hero character Violet and her complete profile sheet.  I am really happy with how it turned out and I really like this character.

INKtober 9 and 10

 

Okay so I really enjoyed making little monsters out of ink splotches.  Not only is it a fun INKtober thing but its a fun way to think outside the box and use different shapes in different ways.  Kind of like the shape challenge.  Anyway here are my monsters of the day (two today because I missed yesterday).

So today I decided to convert my first two animation assignments into GIFs so I could post them here.  The first one is my Pendulum, the second is my bouncing ball.

 



INKtober 8

 

Today for INKtober I took this suggestion from a friend.  I put a bit of ink on a page a blew on it, then created a monster from it.  He looks kind of odd to me but it was only my first attempt.  I would like to try to do more of these in the future.
