Push Animation!

I finally uploaded another animation assignment.  This is my most recent animation, a heavy push.  I had a lot of fun with it and I can't wait to do some more animation.  I may or may not clean this up.  I kinda want to but I also really want to keep animating new things.  Anyway enjoy.

Life Drawing Update

Final Life drawing assignment for the term.  We had to take our 10 best drawings and make them into a portfolio.  These are the ones I chose.  Most of them where done with Conte and Charcoal on Newsprint, there are a couple that were done with Copic markers, and the last one was done in Photoshop.

Life Drawing and Colour Practice

Tonight at extra life drawing I decided to play with my lovely Copic markers for the evening and wow did I have a fun time.  Last week one of my teacher mentioned using greenish tones for cooler skin tones and I wasn't quite sure what he meant at first but tonight I think I started to see what he meant.  I really wanted to try and show the different warm and cool tones with my markers and I had a lot of fun.  I still want to do a lot more colour practice and colour studies but I think this is a good start.

Here are a couple of pieces I finished up this week.  The first is a layout for my heavy lift animation and the second is just a picture I did up for fun and to experiment a little with digital stuff.

These past few weeks have felt kinda hectic in terms of assignments but I did manage to get through it.  I don't want to post any of the full assignments yet as I feel they still need a lot more work but I do have some things to post.

Summer? Art?

Oh hay it'salmost like I haven't updated my blog in forever. (oops)  So yeah it turns out that I kinda took a break from art over the summer.  Even though I really tried not too.  It was just one of those "everything I draw doesn't look right"/"I don't know what to draw" kinda things. Which is a poor excuse I know because most excuses kinda suck.  Also working a full time job all summer didn't help.  But all of that aside, I am back in school now and drawing again.  I would post some new art here but I don't have anything new scanned yet (oops again).  I should be posting some stuff in the next few weeks ANNNND in one week its gonna be October.  Ya know what that means? Thats right INKTOBER. I'm gonna try to do one ink drawing a day! I probably won't post them every day but I will try to post all of them eventually so keep an eye out for that.

Hey thar

So I haven't quite been keeping my blog up to date these past few weeks.  I have been really busy and there's a lot going on right now.  From now on I will try to update whenever I can and hopefully soon enough I will go back to trying to update every week.

Here is the layout I recently finished for an animation assignment.  I have yet to upload the animation because there are still a few minor things I want to fix up.  I will post it when it is all done though.
